Faux freckles are a semi- permanent tattoos that creates the look of soft sun-kissed freckles or beauty marks in areas such as cheeks, nose, collarbones, shoulders and more! As we know, wearing sunscreen daily is non-negotiable - giving up some natural freckles. With the option to tattoo them (and cute sparkles and hearts) on instead, we can protect the skin while also serving up that look of laying out in the sun without the risks!
Placement is a personal decision for all tattoos, but freckle tattoos are normally centered around the same areas on your face, arms, collarbones, shoulders and more. Artists tend to suggest placing faux freckles mainly on the nose and upper cheeks and shoulders, as that’s where the sun tends to hit your body the most. The tattooed freckles will look as natural as possible. The goal is to place the dots sporadically and asymmetrical, the same goes for choosing a size—keeping it natural.
How to prepare for your appointment
-No sunburnt skin. Must avoid direct exposure to sun at least 7 day before.
-No Accutane within 1 year
-Not recommended for clients who wish to have future laser facials, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion.
-Facial fillers, botox must be done 4 weeks before.
How long do freckle tattoo last?
Just like microbladed eyebrows, tattooed freckles require upkeep.
Touch-ups range from 6-10 months.
